Domestic Replica speculates possible architectures of future urban living, within the context of rapid migration and accelerated urban development in Lagos. The proposal imagines future local communities of Makoko and their adaptability to the expanding mega-city, through future programmes and assembly methods for the domestic condition of Makoko. These water-dwelling devices are a response to environments that challenge urban conditions today and may become more apparent alternative places for future urban living. A single prototype is shown above.
