Strata Engawa featured in WILL ⇄ REAL exhibition, Tokyo
WILL ⇄ REAL — 触れるデータ、ひろがる制作 is a three-day exhibition held at the Kokuyo Shinagawa Office in Tokyo, April 15 - 17, exploring the relationship between digital information and physical experience. Bringing together experimental works and research-led practices, the event focuses on “touchable data” — translating abstract systems into tangible, interactive forms. Through installations, prototypes, and spatial interventions, the exhibition presents new approaches to making that blur the boundary between virtual and real, opening up expanded possibilities for creative production.

Strata Engawa published on TECTURE
The feature presents the project as an exploration of the relationship between personal and public space, articulated through digitally fabricated architectural elements. By integrating material systems with spatial sequencing, the design proposes an environment where individual experience and collective use are carefully balanced.
Tecture highlights the project’s tectonic approach, where fabrication logic and material expression are closely intertwined, positioning the work within a broader discourse on digital craftsmanship, contemporary fabrication, and the evolving boundaries between furniture and architecture.

Strata Engawa exhibited at the European Cultural Centre, Venice
The Grand Prize–winning project, Strata Engawa by Superficium Studio, is exhibited in Venice as part of an international showcase of innovative design and digital fabrication. The work is presented within VUILD’s exhibition, “Empowering People to Regenerate Society and Earth,” at the European Cultural Centre (ECC) in Palazzo Mora, where it was on display from October to November 2025. This exhibition forms part of the Time Space Existence programme, running in parallel with the Venice Biennale, and brings together projects that explore how architecture and technology can contribute to more sustainable and regenerative futures. Within this context, Strata Engawa highlights the potential of digital fabrication to create adaptable, human-centred spaces that reconnect individual experience with collective environments.
